One Infinite Life

I was watching the latest episode of The Good Place with my boyfriend (it's one of our favourite shows at the moment) when I heard these words, “Humans only live 80 years, and they spend most of it just waiting for things to be over.

I was watching the latest episode of The Good Place with my boyfriend (it’s one of our favourite shows at the moment) when I heard these words, “Humans only live 80 years, and they spend most of it just waiting for things to be over.”

At first I laughed because I thought it was both funny and true, but then after the episode I couldn’t stop thinking about that one sentence.

It made me think about how we can often get caught up in ‘waiting’ for things to be over, or for things to happen, or for things to change. That we get caught up going through the motions that we are ‘waiting’ for life to happen to us. That we don’t fully enjoy experiences with presence because we’re waiting for them to be over. And that we ‘wait’ until we achieve our goals before allowing yourself to enjoy our lives.

It can be so easy to stay in that ‘waiting’ space while life keeps going by.

Because the time when you’re waiting (for things to be over or for things to happen) matters. It’s still time. It’s still life-minutes. And I know that this quote has reminded me that I really don’t want to waste my time ‘waiting’ for things to happen.

So I wanted to ask you today: Are you making the most of your time while you continue to wait (for something to be over or something to happen)?

If you’ve been around here for awhile you’ll know I’m a big advocate for enjoying your life right now while you work towards making things happen.

As I write these words, there are less than 3 months left in 2018.

That’s 76 days. 109,440 minutes. 6,566,400 seconds.

So, what are you waiting for?

Do you want to spend those 76 days waiting for them to be over? Or are you going to make the ABSOLUTE most of those 76 days by…

Taking empowered action towards your goals while enjoying your life along the way. Looking after yourself exceptionally well so you can enter the new year feeling you’re best. Beginning something you’ve been putting off all year. Having fun experiences. Starting/continuing/completing a project that feels meaningful for you.

How are you going to make the rest of 2018 count for you?

I’ve created a super simple worksheet to help you work out how you can make the rest of the year account. You can download it right here (no sign up required!).

And… If you’re wanting some extra support in making the most out of the final months of 2018 (whatever that may look like for you) I’d love to work 1:1 with you. I’m currently booking in my final 1:1 clients for the year and especially love working with people who are wanting to make the most of their life NOW, as they take empowered action towards what they want. All the info on working 1:1 with me is here and you can get in touch with me at chloe@oneinfinitelife.com if you’d like to book a FREE Ignite call together to explore working together in this way.

I’d love to support you in getting the most out of the final months of the year.
