Did you know that this is one of my favourite segments to write here on my blog?
There’s something powerful and amplifying about publicly declaring the things you’re grateful for.
There’s been so much stuff that’s been lighting up my life lately — from being mentored, to awesome books, movies and music — and I’d love to share my gratitude for these things with you today.
I have just finished up with 3 months of coaching with the lovely Katherine and it’s been a pretty incredible 3 months.
When I first connected with Katherine I had been blogging for about 8 months and been a qualified life coach for a couple months. Despite this, I was still really struggling with putting myself out there online.
Katherine has really helped me own who I am, to feel comfortable and quietly confident in forging my own path and I’m now a lot more comfortable just being me and sharing that with the world.
In our time together I launched my coaching packages, starting sharing more of myself online, published a new about me page that revealed a lot more about me and my story, and I also created and launched The 28 Day Gratitude Project.
All this is awesome, but the best thing about being coached by Katherine is that I have started FULLY embracing my introverted energy, without hiding behind it or using it as an excuse, and also I feel like I can now show up as myself and that it is enough.
I’m so incredibly grateful for Katherine’s support, and I’m so excited that she is going to help so many incredible introverts find their own way to shine, which leads me to…
Katherine has recently launched an incredible eBook called Shhh… An introverts guide to creating inner calm, outer quiet, and an exceptionally beautiful life.
Katherine completely understands what it’s like to be an introvert, and therefore to feel like you don’t belong, that there’s something wrong with you and that you’re not good enough.
This eBook will help you fully embrace who you are, own and honour your unique energy and ultimately find your own way to shine.
Every introvert who wants to ignite their own quiet power needs to read this incredible eBook!
Oh and the Quiet Mind Meditation is absolutely divine.
I’m so grateful for this eBook because I know the effect Katherine’s had on my own life and I know that it’s going to help so many introverts out there.
I love movies.
And I loved this movie so much.
It’s an incredibly touching film about friendship and LIFE that’s weird, original, funny, honest, real, and unique.
According to IMDb it’s about… “High schooler Greg, who spends most of his time making parodies of classic movies with his co-worker Earl, finds his outlook forever altered after befriending a classmate who has just been diagnosed with cancer.”
I’m grateful for this movie because I appreciated that it was a heartfelt story that was equally beautiful as it was weird. I love that people create uniquely real stories that stay with you long after you’ve finished watching them.
Elizabeth Gilbert’s new book Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear is pure gold!
I haven’t even finished it yet and I know that it’s going to be one of my all-time favourite books.
It’s truly magical, chock full of inspirational wisdom and incredible truth-bombs like this one: “The universe buries strange jewels deep within us all, and then stands back to see if we can find them.”
This book will definitely serve you amazingly if you want the courage to be more creative and live a more creative life.
If you don’t consider yourself creative, this book will also serve you amazingly, because Liz defines creativity as “the relationship between a human being and the mysteries of inspiration.”.
So if you’re a human who wants to do some awesome things in your life, then you’ll definitely get a lot out of this book.
This book is a must-read if you’ve ever struggled with fear in your life (haven’t we all?) and even more so if your fear is holding you back from doing what you love.
I’m so grateful for this book because it’s mesmerising, but is already changing the way I approach my work and how I deal with fear.
More inspiration I’ve been loving from Liz Gilbert:
∞ Ted Talk: Your elusive creative genius.
∞ An incredible conversation with Marie Forleo (I’ve watched this twice already it’s that good!)
∞ Magic Lessons podcast (I’ve talked more about this here). I especially loved this one with Brene Brown.
I don’t know what it is about this song, but I’m obsessed and I just had to share it. I hope you enjoy it too!
