10 Things you might not know about me | One Infinite Life

I would love for us to get to know each other a little more, so here are 10 random facts about me:

1. My nickname is Coco

And it has been ever since I can remember. My parents told me that I named myself this when I was very young. Most of my family call me Coco, and my younger brother and sister never call me by my real name.

2. My all time favourite movie is Clueless

This movie makes me wish I was a teenager in the 90s. It is my go-to movie when I am feeling down. I love that it is lighthearted, fun and has Paul Rudd in it.

3. When I was younger I was the worst cook ever

Seriously, I couldn’t even cook toast without burning it. My parents thought I would never be able to cook for myself but I eventually I got better. The first meal I ever made completely by myself was a chicken tikka masala curry from a Jamie Oliver cookbook. Now I am so comfortable cooking, and it is one of my favourite things to do (and I no longer burn toast either).

4. I am obsessed with reading

Ever since I can remember I have always loved reading. I love everything from self-development books to dystopian fiction and everything else in between. Even though I used to think that turning a real book page was the only way to go, I now absolutely love my kindle. Being able to carry around so many books at once in one small device has been life changing.

5. The #1 most played song on my iTunes is Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran

I find this song so tragic and so beautiful. Although I was late to the Ed Sheeran bandwagon but thanks to The Vampire Diaries (awesome show by the way) I got there eventually.

6. I am extremely afraid of lizards

I know it is an irrational fear but I am still so scared of them. There are 2 living in my parent’s backyard and they freak me out!

7. I went on my first overseas trip when I was 15 to Malaysia

This is the first time I remember being extremely out of my comfort zone. It was an educational trio and I only kinda knew one person beforehand. It was such an incredible experience and I look back on it as one of my favourite memories of high school. Since then I have also travelled to Thailand and Bali.

8. When I was 4 years old I wanted to be a pilot

I didn’t like the idea of flying plane though, I just liked drawing them and thought I was good at it (I wasn’t!)

9. I pretty much never swear

Expressing myself by swearing doesn’t feel authentic to me, so I just don’t do it.

10. I am obsessed with having my nails painted

I rarely have unpainted nails and when I do it seriously makes me feel naked. I own nearly 50 different nail polishes (which is ridiculous I know) but I really enjoy having my nails painted, it makes me happy!

Now that you know a little more about me, I would love for you to share a random fact about yourself in the comments below.

  • So lovely to meet you Chloe and get to know you a little bit better. You’ve inspired me to think about random facts that people perhaps don’t know about me! First one I can think of is my own nickname which my brother came up with was “JJ”. I have no idea why but it’s stuck ever since! Looking forward to getting to know more about you x

    • Chloe

It’s so nice to meet you too Jenny. Thank you for sharing something random about yourself, I think JJ is a really cute nickname 🙂

  • Sarah Jensen

Oh we have loads in common Chloe! I’m a huge reading fan too. I was totally useless at cooking when I was younger – I could burn microwave pasta that came out of a packet – seriously all I had to do was mix the packet contents with water and nuke it and I still couldn’t manage it! Oh and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Clueless too. 🙂

    • Oh Sarah I LOVE this comment! I totally used to burn microwave pasta too! One time I tried to strain 2 minute noodles with the strainer on my kitchen bench (how embarrassing!) I was seriously a disaster in the kitchen. Oh and I total love that you love Clueless too, such a fun movie and Paul Rudd is so cute in it!

      • Sarah Jensen

LOVE Paul Rudd! But then I love Alicia Silverstone too! She’s so sweet and real. 🙂

  • I loved reading these random facts about you Chloe 🙂
I love reading it’s one of my favourite past times and need to make more time for it. Being a bit of an old soul I love the smell and turning the pages of a physical book, but would definitely take a Kindle on long trips or over seas.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

    • My pleasure Kate, so glad to hear that you enjoyed it. I love that you also love reading! So awesome 🙂
